Access Control Mode

In this mode, you use normal card access to go in and out of areas. The readers are assigned to do read valid cards and determine if two (2) valid cards are required to enter.

In all cases of dual area operation, the user counts are maintained, and people are tracked through the areas.

Dual User Area

ARCO Platform enables you to configure an area requiring a minimum of two (2) users present at a given time. The first person to enter will be prompted after valid entry for a dual user so that two (2) people will then be marked in the new dual user area. Any subsequent user can enter, and any user can leave so long as there are at least two (2) people present. When the last two (2) people leave, they will be prompted to both badges to leave.

Navigate to the Hardware Module then to the Profile page.

Create or modify a panel in the Area section.

Under the Advanced tab, Select Dual User.

Dual Supervisor Area

Similar to Dual User Area except at least one user has to be a supervisor.

Navigate to the Hardware Module then to the Profile page.

Create or modify a panel in the Area section.

Under the Advanced tab, Select Dual User.

Entry / Exit Time Attendance

For this mode of operation, when the out reader is used, the user is marked as being out of the building. This mode can also be used for Time Attendance; if the door category is In/Out, then the keypad readers will show the entry or exit message along with the Granted message to feedback to the user they are entering or leaving.

Navigate to the Hardware Module then to the Profile page.

Create or modify a panel in the Door section.

Under the General tab, Select Entry/Exit.

Visit Information

Visitor Management enables you follow a workflow to check in visitors on your system.

Click the Camera button to upload a profile picture for the user.

Input the Visitor Purpose or select from the drop-down menu.

Click the set duration of the Visitor.

Select the host, an existing user on your system.

Input the credential the visitor will use.

Visitor Page

  • Visitor Workflow – Always displayed at the top of the module to signify where you are on the visitor management process.

  • Navigation Buttons

    -> Back – Click to return to go back to the previous workflow.
    -> Create New – Click to create a new Visitor.
    -> Done – Click to return to the Visitor Search.

  • Action Panels – Click to expand Visitor Information and Perform Visitor management actions.

Visitor Information

-> Profile Picture – Click the button to upload a profile picture for the user. The image needs to be in jpeg, png or gif format with the maximum size of 100MB.
-> Firstname – Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Lastname – Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Email – Requires a valid email address. ARCO will send confirmation messages to this address.
-> Tags – Optional metadata for search and reporting parameters.
-> Document Number – Requires alphanumeric characters with a -> maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Document Type – Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Expiry Date – Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.

Identification Information

-> Identity Card -> – Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Company Name – Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Phone Number – Requires numeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Drivers Licence – Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Personal ID – Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Department– Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Date of Birth– Select from a date in the drop-down menu.
-> Place of Birth– Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Passport– Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Vehicle Registration– Requires alphanumeric characters with a maximum length of 255. Does not need to be unique.
-> Gender– Select from date in the drop-down menu.

Visitor History

Visit History displays the Date, Purpose Time In and Time Out of the visitor.

Visitor Blacklist

Click on the Add to Blacklist button to automatically mark a Visitor as Blacklisted.

Visitor Workflow

ARCO enables quick and accurate identification of visitors in facilities with a high frequency of guests or a high level of safety requirements.

Communicates with the SPG ID Camera input data to ARCO visitor fields automatically without an operator to re-key in data. ARCO would capture a live photo of the visitor from the client workstation web camera if visitor details did not come with a photo.

Credential Navigation

ARCO enables you to create Credentials that is associated with a Door, Site and Area access on your system.

A Credential represents some form of identification. The most common form will be the byte representation of raw card data, as scanned by a reader when swiping a card or typing a PIN.

A Credential is unique and can only be associated with one user at a time. The user may, however, have multiple credentials.

  • Search bar – Enables you to search for specific Credentials. The search bar automatically starts searching after typing at least four characters.

  • Organisation filter – Click to open and close panels for each organisation.

  • Credential Card Panel – Displays the complete list of credentials in your organisation.
    -> Card Number – Value of the card registered to the credential.
    -> Credential Profile – Value of the card registered to the credential.
    -> Facility – The Site Facility the credential belongs to.
    -> Assigned to – Name of the user who holds the credentials.
    -> Status – Displays if the card is Active or Deactivated

  • Load More button – Click to display additional available credentials.

When a User is deleted, all assigned Credentials will also be deleted.

Delete Role

ARCO enables you to edit roles directly from the Roles page.

Click the Edit option, and it will take you to the Edit Role page.

Click the Delete button.

 You will be prompted to confirm the role deletion. 

Click the Delete button.

A system message will appear to show the user deletion is successful.

When a Role is removed, the users who have this role lose all associated Capabilities.

Edit Role

ARCO enables you to edit roles directly from the Roles page.

Click the Edit option, and it will take you to the Edit Role page.

Enter the required information depending on the Role Type.

Click the Update button when you have completed all the required information.

You will be taken back to the Roles page.

Access Roles will require you to edit door and area permissions.

Operator Roles will require you to edit the capabilities.

Add Operator Role

Operator Roles are for the users that manage and maintain ARCO Platform. The role grants access to user management, site management and system configurations.

Click the Add Operator Role link on the Navigation Panel or click the Add Operator Role panel that will take you to the Add Operator Role page.

Enter the following required information:

Role Name – Needs to be unique to each Scope. Requires alphanumeric characters with no spaces and a maximum length of 255.

Assign Schedule – Select from the pop-up menu. The schedule used to specify when the role is active.

Capabilities – Assign available access rights to the role. Please refer to the Role Capabilities section for more details.

Click the Create button when you have completed all the required information.

You will be taken back to the Roles page.

Access Role Types

The capability to access certain system locations are assigned to specific Access Roles. Users are assigned roles, and through those role assignments, acquire the permissions to access Sites, Areas or Doors.

Engineer – Enables full control of the S1000 Controller setup configuration.
Custom 1 – Enables limited access to specific rooms or areas.
Custom 2 – Enables limited access to specific rooms or areas.
Executive – Enables full control of the system areas and door access. Normal Users also have a limited ability to configure Custom Users and change their own PIN.

Access Roles generally gain access through card or keypad readers.

Please refer to the Alarm Reader Operations Manual (UM207) for further details.

Add Access Role

Access Roles are for the users that perform their job function within a physical location and generally have no access to the ARCO Platform. The role grants access to the project sites, area access and door entry.

Click the Add Access Role link on the Navigation Panel or click the Add Access Role panel that will take you to the Add Access Role page.

Enter the following required information:

Role Name – Needs to be unique to each Role. Requires alphanumeric characters with no spaces and a maximum length of 255.

Tags – Metadata for searching and reporting.

Door Permissions – Assign the doors the role is permitted to enter. Please refer to the Door Permissions section for more details.

Area Permissions – Assign the Areas the role is permitted to enter. Please refer to the Area Permissions section for more details.

Supervisor – Toggle ON or OFF

Bluetooth User – Toggle ON or OFF

Executive – Toggle ON or OFF

Access Role Type – Select from the drop-down menu. Please refer to the Access Role Type section for more details.

Click the Create button when you have completed all the required information.

You will be taken back to the Roles page.

Door permissions

ARCO enables you to grant roles access to specific Doors connected to controllers.

You can configure doors at the Hardware module.

Assign a door

Click the Assign a door panel to open Door List pop-up window.

Select a Door by clicking the Assign to this role on the panel.

Any number of doors can be assigned.

Note: The subscript on the Doors tab indicates the number of doors available.

The subscript on the Schedule tab indicates the current schedule selected.

Optional: Go to the Schedule tab and click Select on the panel.

Click the Done button.

The selected doors are now assigned to the Role.

Area Permissions

ARCO enables you to grant roles access to specific Areas connected to controllers.

You can configure Areas at the Hardware module.

Assign an area

Click the Assign an area panel to open the Door List pop-up window.

Select an Area by clicking the Assign to this role on the panel.

Any number of areas can be assigned.

Note: The subscript on the Areas tab indicates the number of doors available.

The subscript on the Schedule tab indicates the current schedule selected.

Optional: Go to the Schedule tab and click Select on the panel.

Click the Done button.

The selected areas are now assigned to the Role.

Click on the dots and press Delete.
